Dodger Car

Concept

A 2D top-down racing game, similar to Ultimate Racing 2D. The player drives a car around a race track with the goal of crossing the finish line. As the player advances through the levels, more obsicals and projectiles will appear to try and prevent the player from finishing the race. The player can achieve upgrades upon level progression. In short, Ultimate Racing 2D meets Bloons Tower Defence and Archero.

Story

Your rival stole the Great Trophy of Infinity from you and is using it as ransom. You must complete 22 laps on his race track in order to get it back. Little do you know, he has been experimenting on a specially rigged race track with odds in his favor. Prove you are the best racer in the world and get back what is rightfully yours!

Car Controls

  • W, S, Up, and down arrows to speed up and slow down
  • A, D, Left, and Right arrows to turn the car in the respective directions

  • Allowed every 5 laps completed

  • Maximum Car Acceleration
  • Car Friction Coefficient

Teaching the Game

  • The player will learn through the first few waves that are simple and experimental.
  • Directions and controls of the game are displayed below the game.
  • The player will learn better strategys through understanding the mechanics and game experience, success or fail.

About the Developer

My name is Adam Zaffram, I am a second year student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I am majoring in Game Design & Development with a minor in Music & Technology. I have a passion in coding and using my creative mind. Both of those passions have brought me to game and web development which I very much enjoy.
